Simone Zgraggen estudi\u00f3 en Lucerna, Basilea y Karlsruhe con Alexander van Wijnkoop y Ulf Hoelscher, finalizando sus estudios con \u201csuma cum laude\u201d. Fue becada por la Migros Cooperative Alliance (1995-1997) y la Kiefer Hablitzel Foundation (1999), gan\u00f3 el Shar Award (EUA), el primer premio en el concurso de conservatorios de m\u00fasica de la Rep\u00fablica Federal Alemana y los premios Lion y Brahms de la Academia Carl Flesh de Baden-Baden.<\/p>\n
En el 2006 recibi\u00f3 la beca principal de la fundaci\u00f3n cultural y art\u00edstica Foundation Danioth. Ha grabado para DRS 2, Espace 2, SWR, ORF, Bavarian Broadcasting y para la radio estatal de Mosc\u00fa, ha participado en clases magistrales con Gulli, I. Ozim, S. Bron, A. Chumachenco, R. Kiss Mouth, T. Zehetmair y en los EUA con Ch. Avsharian, A.Cardenes, J. Silverstein y S. Shipps.<\/p>\n
Zgraggen ha ofrecido conciertos en Europa, Am\u00e9rica y Asia, en el International Orpheum Music Festival en la Tonhalle de Z\u00farich y en el Festival de Pascua de Salzburgo. Simone Zgraggen es concertino de la Basel Sinfonietta y primer viol\u00edn del Schubert Quintet y colabora regularmente con el pianista Ulrich Koella. Ha grabado CDs para los sellos Bella Musica (doble concierto de Brahms y Partita de Brook en re menor), Claces (obras para viol\u00edn y piano de Schoeck con el pianista Ulrich Koella) y Geniuin (quintetos de cuerda de Schubert y Boccherini con el Schubert Quintet \u2013muy bien valorada en klassik.com). Desde el a\u00f1o 2001 hasta el 2004 fue profesora en la Musikhochschule de Karlsruhe. Desde el 2001 es tambi\u00e9n profesora en el Conservatoire de Z\u00farich.<\/p>\n
