El obo\u00edsta Christian Wetzel estudi\u00f3 en el Conservatorio de M\u00fasica de Hannover (Alemania) con el profesor Ingo Goritzki.<\/p>\n
A los 24 a\u00f1os fue nombrado oboe solista de la Orquesta del Teatro Nacional de Mannheim, y nueve a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde fue designado profesor de oboe en el Conservatorio de M\u00fasica \u201cFelix Mendelssohn Bartholdy\u201d de Leipzig (Alemania).<\/p>\n
All\u00ed imparti\u00f3 docencia hasta 2008, cuando acept\u00f3 la c\u00e1tedra en el Conservatorio de Colonia (Alemania), donde actualmente trabaja como uno de los profesores m\u00e1s reconocidos de Alemania.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n dirige una clase en el Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica del Pa\u00eds Vasco en San Sebasti\u00e1n (Espa\u00f1a), Musikene, y ense\u00f1a en otros prestigiosos centros como The Juilliard School de Nueva York, la Royal Academy of Music de Londres o el Conservatorio de Viena, adem\u00e1s de impartir clases magistrales por todo el mundo.<\/p>\n
