Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country (Musikene)

​Born in Sedavi (Valencia). He studied music at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia and the Conservatoire National de Region in Versailles. Later he expanded his musical studies in Munich.

In 1987, he joined the National  Youth Orchestra of Spain and from that moment on he collaborated regularly with most of the Spanish orchestras.

He was part of the European Community Youth Orchestra (EUYO).

Since 1991 he has been principal horn in the City of Granada Orchestra, with which he has performed concertos no. 1 and 2 by R. Strauss, C. Förster, Jiri Pauer, Gordon Jacob, Sinfonía concertante de W.A. Mozart and the fragments-concertos of W.A. Mozart, the latter world premieres in Spain, as well as various dedicated pieces for horn and orchestra.

He has been invited by the International Symphony Orchestra (Israel), the Arturo Toscanini Symphony Orchestra of Parma (Italy), the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra (Colombia)…

He currently combines solo horn activity with the City of Granada Orchestra with teaching, giving classes as Professor of Horn, Orchestral Repertoire at the Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country (MUSIKENE).

In the field of teaching, he has been invited to give Masterclasses in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Colombia, the USA, Portugal, Finland, China…

He has published a book on French horn technique “Warm up”, creating an expectation that has led to demands for it from America, Asia, Europe and Australia. In August 2012, he was invited by the Spanish Embassy in Beijing to present his book “Warm Up” at the IBFB (International Book Fair of Beijing).

He currently combines his musical activity with ultra-distance and endurance sports.
